Replacement trees for Balfour Avenue
Works to plant new trees on Balfour Avenue to replace the ones that were cut down to widen the road are due to start 10 Feb 2014.
A bunch of enterprising local residents got together to reclaim a sad neglected bit of scrubland and convert it to what will become (in time) a delightful community garden.
In the process they removed numerous weeds, garden waster and lots of litter.
The space has been planted out with a selection of native plants kindly donated by Pete Davis from the local Nursery Gardens.
Many thanks to Pat, Nigel and Martin from WCRA and all who helped to make this project a great success!
